Bargaining is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 5th.   This page will contain important bargaining information as it is released.

  • Bargaining Update: November 20, 2019.
    • CBUFA and CBU have reached a tentative agreement. On November 14th, 2019 a tentative Collective Agreement was agreed to by both parties at the bargaining table.   The articles that were discussed and the changes to those articles are listed in the following document : https://www.cbufa.ca/cbu-cbufa-reach-tentative-agreement/
  • Bargaining Update: November 5, 2019
    • CBUFA has voted in support of a strike. Over 92% of the membership voted in the strike vote, 136 voted in favor of the motion, 14 voted against. This signifies overwhelming support of the CBUFA executive to call a strike, if necessary.
    • Conciliation is November 13 &14, the issues outstanding are wages and equitable teaching and research support. The Conciliator is Peter Lloyd, who has previous experience in CBUFA-employer negotiations.
  • Bargaining Update: August 21st, 2019
    • The CBUFA negotiation team met with the employer on August 19 and 20th.
    • Negotiations have reached an impasse with the employer.
    • A general membership meeting will be scheduled in September.
    • A full update on the current status of bargaining, future direction, and membership support will be discussed at Sept. meeting.
