Meeting with Employer
[2008 05 15]This message is to inform you that the process outlined under article 37.5 has begun. The CBUFA has chosen Chester Pyne, former Chief Negotiator, and Andrew Molloy, present Chief Negotiator, to represent the association on the committee set up under the contract. Over the next few days, they will be not only assessing the data but also looking for creative solutions that could offset the need for layoffs.
We will provide updates and discussion through the forum over the next few weeks. The committee’s task will be to assess the data provided by the administration, but it is also required to look for alternatives to lay offs. If you have any ideas to offer to our committee members, please feel free to contact me and I will forward them to Andrew and Chester.
